My name is Juan David Parra, Teaching Fellow at ISS since April 2024. I hold an MA in Economics and a PhD in Development Studies, where I used Critical Realism to study education politics in Colombia. I serve on the editorial board of the Journal of Critical Realism. At IACR 2025, I will reflect on how CR can inform policy learning in comparative education, using a pedagogy of crisis lens to examine structures and assumptions in governance.
