Dr Anzhela Popyk is a sociologist and Assistant Professor at SWPS University in Warsaw, Poland. She is the coordinator of the Youth Research Center and is the Principal Investigator in two research projects: 1) NCN OPUS (2024-2028) „EduMAP. Structure and agency: transnational and school transitions of Ukrainian forced migrant adolescents in Poland”; 2) FNP (2024-2025) “EMPOWER. Activating Change: Empowering Youth Civic Engagement among Forced Migrant Youth in Poland and Internally Displaced Youth in Ukraine“. Her research interests include the sociology of migration, sociology of education, sociology of childhood and youth, and Critical Realism.
