Mantell Rhys, Hey there! I’m a final year PhD Candidate UNSW. My thesis, anchored in critical realism, involves designing and testing novel digital health tools for older people in prison. I also work on a research program investigating the reintegration journeys of people transitioning from prison back into the community. Across all my work I have a passion for applying critical realist philosophy to unpack, explain and, ideally, achieve the complex task of creating healthier and safer justice systems.
